Hello there! My name is Percy, I’m an Emperor penguin and I live in Antarctica. It’s really quiet where I live, but things are about to get a lot more exciting as I’m packing my bags and heading off to the North West of a country called England. I wonder what the food’s like there…I hope there are lots of fish restaurants. Mmmmm.
I’m heading across the globe to work for Smokefree North West, touring shopping centres across the region to encourage smokers to quit with free support from something called the National Health Service (I wish they had that where I lived).To make sure I don’t get homesick, Smokefree North West has arranged for me to play on the ice at the Chill Factore, in Trafford. It’s the UK’s biggest indoor real snow ski centre.
I don’t know anyone in England yet, and I’m worried I’ll get lonely. So if you see me out and about on my adventures please come over and say hello. Or comment on my blog. And share your stories of quitting smoking here too! Over the next few weeks Smokefree North West will be handing out free advice on quitting at the following locations. If you turn up, you might get to meet me!

Good luck Percy! I stopped smoking 15 years ago and it is the best thing I ever did for my health (and my pocket!). Last year I was diagnosed with diabetes - it would have been far worse if I'd been a smoker.
